Audrey Love (1993, Roseburg, OR) is an artist located in the PNW working in oil paint and watercolor.
As a teenager she was home schooled which gave her the creative freedom to pursue visual art and attend University classes. She spent much of her formative years at the University art facility and continued to take many courses throughout college.
After her junior art show, Audrey was on track to graduate as an Art major; however, she soon discovered a passion for social science with a focus on women’s studies, and changed course, graduating as a Sociology major, with an Art minor. Her decision to change her major to sociology has informed her life path and the artwork she creates today.
Audrey primarily paints small portraits of women in nature who evoke a sense of strength and wonder. The subject; often looking directly at the viewer without hesitation. The characters she creates are self assured, mysterious and filled with wonder.
Her most recent subject matter explores themes surrounding bodily autonomy, reproductive freedom, desire, and hope.
